Partnering to combat corruption infrastructure services: a toolkit
Poverty has many dimensions. Many poor people live in illegal areas or informal settlements, work predominately in the informal econnomy and have poor access to resources. The effect of corruption on infrastructure can be gauged both through its direct impact on the poor (for example increasing the cost of public services or lowering their quality) and indirect impact(through diverting public resources away from the poor, and by limiting development and poverty reduction).
